Our pelvic floor reconditioning program focuses on more than just a Kegel. Although Kegel exercises have been around for years, pelvic floor health goes beyond just squeezing these muscles. A pelvic floor contraction is much more complex than stopping the flow of urine. A proper restoration program should not only focus on strength, but also endurance and neuromuscular coordination. Pelvic floor muscles can also be too tight possibly leading to pain, incontinence and difficulty activating the muscles.
