Many people feel as if they're adrift in the world. They work hard, but they don't seem to get anywhere worthwhile. A key reason that they feel this way is that they haven't spent enough time thinking about what they want from life, and haven't set themselves formal goals.
The MELT Method® is a breakthrough self-treatment system that restores the supportiveness of the body's connective tissue to eliminate chronic pain, improve performance, and decrease the accumulated stress caused by repetitive postures and movements of everyday living. New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue.
Do you practice goal setting or feel like it’s a waste of time? If you chose the latter, you’re not alone. Most people don’t set goals for 2 reasons: 1. they don’t know what they want, and 2) they are afraid of “failing” if they don’t achieve their goals. Which is it for you? Success is intentional and unless you choose what it is you want, you have to be willing to accept what is.

I was introduced to yoga as a teenager and was drawn to the challenging and introspective practice. It wasn’t until 2006, after moving to Toronto, that I began to take my practice seriously. I could see the effect that a strong dynamic practice had on my body, but also on my mind.
With someone to assist or on your own lower yourself gently to the floor near a piece of furniture such as a chair or sofa. Once you are there discover which seated positions are comfortable for you. Try several and understand you are beginning the process of maintaining and restoring your agility. Use the furniture to slowly rise a little at a time and remember to breathe and relax.
Most women and men think they know who to do Kegel exercises properly, but effective activation of the pelvic floor is more than just squeezing these often difficult to find muscles. I’ve been teaching pelvic floor exercise for the past 15 years and when I ask clients if they know what a Kegel is they almost always answer yes. But when we get down to the nitty gritty of it and begin to discuss where these muscle are located and how they function, we almost always find that they were not doing it correctly.
Imagine what your life would be like if you didn’t have to worry about failure or being good enough. What possibilities would exist for you? What goals and dreams would you be able to pursue? How would this affect you moving forward and living the life you always dreamed about?
FREE THE GIRLS EVENT!!! Donate the bras that you are no longer using to Movement Unlimited’s Bra Drive today! Bring them down to the studio and we will send them off for good use to help out those in need.
Our pelvic floor reconditioning program focuses on more than just a Kegel. Although Kegel exercises have been around for years, pelvic floor health goes beyond just squeezing these muscles. A pelvic floor contraction is much more complex than stopping the flow of urine. A proper restoration program should not only focus on strength, but also endurance and neuromuscular coordination. Pelvic floor muscles can also be too tight possibly leading to pain, incontinence and difficulty activating the muscles.
