Class takes place in intimate studio setting, 1554 Maple Street, in rural Fenwick. Teacher Erin Savage is a Certified Yoga Siromani of Sivananda Yoga, Teacher of Kundalini through KRI and MEM Yoga Teacher.

The twelve basic yoga poses or asanas (meaning steady pose) here form the foundation of the Sivananda Class. They exercise every part of the body, stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. And they work not only on the frame but also on the internal organs, glands and nervous system, keeping us in radiant health. By releasing physical and mental tension they liberate vast resources of energy giving us vigour and vitality. With regular practice the poses consciously become an exercise in concentration and meditation, and lead to a calmer mind and reduction in stress.

The teaching lineage of Sivananda Yoga can be traced back many hundreds of years to the great sage Adi Sankaracharya (788-802 CE) who unified the diverse spiritual practices prevalent at the time into a cohesive system based on the Upanishads of the Four Vedas. The teachings have been passed from guru to disciple in an unbroken chain to the present day and are the mainstay of the teachings of our organization.
