The Department of Dramatic Arts presents the story of one woman who stands up for what she believes in – even in the face of death.

Adapted from Sophocles’ classic Greek Tragedy, Antigone asks the questions: Are we driven by morality or legality? Who makes the laws and who has to live by them? What is more important: law or the ethics of the individual? Who determines right and wrong? What has more value, the family of the state? What is the impact of the actions we take? With a contemporary approach to an ancient text, this production will blend classical text with movement and image-based storytelling, and explore a rich score of ensemble voices.

*This production contains themes of violence and suicide.
