Barbara Simpson is a Canadian artist new on the art scene in the City of St. Catharines and she will be a part of this year’s 31st Pelham Art Festival this May. Born in Longueil, Quebec and raised on Georgian Bay, Ontario during her youth (a famous painting location to artist Tom Thomson and members of The Group of Seven, among others), it is this location that initiated Simpson’s inspiration as an artist.

A large group of residents attended our Council meeting last week in anticipation of the discussion about a potential agreement with the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) for partial renovation and joint use of Cherry Ridge Park.

One in five Canadians is impacted by addictions and mental health issues. 

On Friday April 7th, a team at Movement Unlimited stayed up late and collected sponsors to help create awareness and raise money for the One Brave Night initiative in support of CAMH Foundation.

With a minimum donation of $10 supporters participated in group classes held that night and purchased tickets for the raffle table that included many prizes from our local community.

Pelham is now home to the first permanent Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) sanctioned FPV multirotor field in Canada.

The drone-racing track is located at the Fonthill Lions’ Gordon L. Klager Park thanks to a partnership between the Fonthill Lions and the Niagara FPV Squad.

Congratulations to Fonthill Lioness Eleanor Arbour who was presented with a Lions Quest Fellowship from District Governor John Harvey on Sunday April 2nd at the District A-2 Lions Club's Friendship Convention.

The Lions Quest Fellowship was established in 2003 to recognize Lions and other deserving recipients who provide leadership, knowledge and resources to develop capable young Canadians of positive character.

Eleanor serves as the District Chair of the Lions Effective Speaking and Peace Poster Programs.

Heat , chemicals treatment, genetics, smoking and health issues such as stress .  One of the common causes is improper hair care. If hair is not washed, conditioned, and groomed properly then it can go limp.
