Habitat for Humanity Niagara’s Women Build promotes the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat homes by hosting build projects with the majority of the planning and execution undertaken by women volunteers. Women Build is not about excluding men but it is all about including women!

The Niagara Youth Orchestra is celebrating its 50th anniversary!  Founded in 1965 by local music teacher, Paul van Dongen, the orchestra has been the premiere training ground for local young musicians for five decades. Anniversary Celebrations take place May 30 and 31, culminating with a commemorative concert on May 31st.

Famed Canadian jazz pianist Michael Kaeshammer will headline the Niagara Jazz Festival’s 2015 Flagship event Friday, July 24th at Jackson-Triggs Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The Festival’s second year will be held July 23-26, 2015.

With two weeks to go in CAA’s Worst Roads Campaign, Niagara’s road users have put Dominion Road in Fort Erie in the region’s top spot and eighth in Ontario. Last year, the thoroughfare was voted the second worst road in all of the Niagara Region. The campaign began on March 23 with voters visiting www.CAAWorstRoads.com to submit their choice for the worst road in Niagara.
