Fun and games in Pelham this Easter weekend with the Fenwick Lions Good Friday Fish Fry, 11th annual EGGstravaganza and the Shoppes of Ridgeville all dolled up!

In 1945, life in Pelham was significantly different than it is now, 65 years later. But one thing has remained true throughout those 65 years, the service of the Fonthill Lions Club.

The Fonthill Lions Club started with 24 members in 1945, receiving its charter on April 3, thanks to sponsorship from the Welland Lions Club.

It’s getting closer to that time of the year! And whether you’re the special lady walking down the aisle (or you’re  one of her trusty wedding party side kicks) we’ve got a few tips to help you achieve that perfect ‘do for your big day.

It won't be long until we are knee deep in band shell concerts and supper markets; art festivals and street dancing; farm pickings and a four-day festival that rivals Mardi Gras.  Everything is freshening up.  What better way to celebrate spring than by getting a fresh perspective on our own businesses.  We are thrilled to have Larry Anderson, co-author of the bestselling book, "What We've Learned So Far" as our guest for the April 21st meeting.

Let’s begin by saying that neither you nor a lender want to get you into a home you can’t afford. That’s not a future you want. But sometimes, a difficult past is standing in the way of a bright future. Bad credit can do that to you. If you’re running into roadblocks or don’t think you can get mortgage financing, I have three reasons why your new home may be possible:

Since 2002, the Foundation has raised almost $180,000 to send more than 2,000 kids in Niagara to summer camp. We've used the funds to provide bursaries for campers to go to one of 10 camp providers across Niagara. We've just launched our campaign for 2015 and are asking for your help.

Niagara must be ‘open for business.’ Under my leadership and the leadership of my council colleagues — Niagara is open for business.”

Diagnosed in 2009 with Ulcerative Colitis at 38 years of age and just 13 months after becoming a Registered Massage Therapist and thinking my new career and life was over.

After the dreadful diagnosis I began searching the web for more info on the disease and to bond with those in the same situation. What did I find? I found some good valuable information as well as a lot of negative comments on the disease which led me to believe my new career was over and as my symptoms continued to get worse I wasn't sure of my outcome.
