Over the last couple weeks, I have written here about some of the new facilities and roads, sidewalks and bridges that the Town will complete or work toward this year. Now, here’s more information about other 2016 capital projects.

Unfortunately, due to poor manufacturing of some garmets, they do not withstand the dry cleaning process well.  It is crucial for the consumer to be aware of these problem pieces and if possible, refrain from purchasing them or hand wash them.  Be advised that these items will say "dry clean only" on their tags, but they have been idenified as problematic due to a manufacturers defect.

The Pelham Mudfest Challenge is back for its third year in a row, taking place this year on May 14 at Bissell’s Hideaway in Ridgeville.

One of the most frequent questions that I receive relates to budgeting for a new website.  Clients are astounded at the range of quotes that they receive from design firms and it's no surprise! Website design is not a regulated field, meaning that we don't have set fees that we have to charge, with minimums and maximums in place. The amount of overhead that a company carries also impacts what they charge.

You’ve got one investment account here, your RRSP and TFSA there, and some more assets over at that other place. You’re “diversifying,” right? That tactic could, however, be raising your risk, inviting costly fees and preventing you from creating a sound retirement strategy.

Ever wonder why so many people dread Mondays and can't wait for Friday to roll around? It's because the majority of people spend the majority of their life energy slaving for the man! (We all have our concept of 'the man'.)

Your bucket list includes all the goals you want to achieve, and the life experiences and dreams you want to fulfill. It’s often viewed as a “to-do” list for the golden years of retirement, but your bucket list can also include items that you can fulfill now or in the near future. Financial resources are often needed to knock items off your list, which is why your mortgage should always be a top focus. Your mortgage is the cornerstone of a sound financial plan, and can help you take control of your financial future so you’ll be better able to achieve all that is on your list. Here are some tips to help you do just that!

The rest of the day will be filled with crafts, games, horse theory, nature walks and much more!

It's not enough to just do good: local non-profit groups are realizing they also have to be good. That's why the Niagara Community Foundation is launching a new program to help local non-profits improve their leadership - by ensuring they are operating at the highest professional standards.

Aging is a fact of life, and as we age not only does our skin change, but also our hair. Colour, moisture, texture, shine and even manageability are affected. Here are a few tips to care for mature hair:

Carpet One Floor & Home worked with interior designers and product experts to compile 2016 design trends for the entire home. Keeping a home on trend can be as simple as refreshing a few rooms with a new paint color, or as complex as a complete kitchen or bath overhaul. In either circumstance, a homeowner begins by researching and finding inspiration.

The Fonthill Nurdles presented their award winning initiative to recycle gift to Pelham Town Council in hopes that the Town will consider becoming involved in their collection program. The group has also been invited to present to Regional Waste Management and to Tim Hortons' head office to talk about a chain-wide collection program.

In the past, we have let some of our property for commercial bee keeping, hoping to eventually do this ourselves. This year, we decided to start on a very small scale. Of course, not satisfied with doing anything the traditional way, we wanted to try out some new apiary technology.

If you are building a new home, a feature to consider installing is a residential sprinkler. With modern construction methods and materials, fire spreads quickly and can become deadly in as little as three minutes.

Did you know most home insurance policies have limits on certain items?

Pelham Town Council will be making a special presentation to WWII Veteran Jim Summersides in Council Chambers tonight at 6:30.
