On February 15, 2016, minimum downpayment rules are changing in Canada – for homes worth more than $500,000. The change is straightforward: for any portion of the house price over $500,000, buyers will need to provide 10% downpayment for an insured mortgage. The minimum downpayment for the first $500,000 will remain unchanged at 5%.

Water is the cheapest and most readily available extinguishing agent. The amount of water needed to extinguish a fire depends on numerous factors: the size of the fire (involvement), the fuel load, the chemical and physical attributes of the fuel, the weather, slope or elevation, and firefighting tactics (such as the distance to the fire, the type of nozzle and the stream used, etc.).

Throughout the year, Pelham Cares sees the generosity of our  community, assisting us in supporting Pelham families in need.  It is never more evident than during the Holiday Season! On Dec 5th 2015 approximately eighty volunteers gathered at Rice Road Greenhouses and the Pelham Cares facility, to receive, sort, pack, and transport the tons of food that were so generously donated by the Pelham community.  Our volunteers enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate and treats from Tim Hortons, and pizza from Volcano Pizzeria.

 

Our final sale starts Saturday, January 2nd at 10:00 am and will run until we permanently close our doors  at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 23rd.

When you’re working to achieve your financial objectives, you will encounter obstacles. Some of these can be anticipated — for example, you won’t be able to invest as much as you want for retirement because you have to pay for your mortgage. Other challenges can’t be easily anticipated, but you can still plan for them — and you should. 

 

True wellness is not just the absence of disease.  How many people do you know who just make it through their day? How many times do you use or hear the words - exhausted, unfulfilled or stressed? These feelings permeate North American culture. We have become these adjectives. 

We all know that true change happens internally before we see it manifest on the outer. That’s why getting your honey to pick up his socks might happen once or twice if you nag him enough, but it’s not a behaviour with any staying power because he is avoiding a negative stimulus (your nagging), rather than acting from a value he has internalized.
