On February 15, 2016, minimum downpayment rules are changing in Canada – for homes worth more than $500,000. The change is straightforward: for any portion of the house price over $500,000, buyers will need to provide 10% downpayment for an insured mortgage. Throughout the year, Pelham Cares sees the generosity of our community, assisting us in supporting Pelham families in need. It is never more evident than during the Holiday Season! On Dec 5th 2015 approximately eighty volunteers gathered at Rice Road Greenhouses and the Pelham Cares facility, to receive, sort, pack, and transport the tons of food that were so generously donated by the Pelham community. Our volunteers enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate and treats from Tim Hortons, and pizza from Volcano Pizzeria.
