Seniors Activities for November

Men's Breakfast- Join us for our Men's Breakfast once each month. This buffet style breakfast will include bacon, eggs, toast, tea and coffee. Breakfast will be served at 8:30am in the Active Living Lounge. This month it will be held on Wednesday November 20th. Please add your name to the sign-up list in the Active Living Lounge so we can ensure we have enough food prepared for all attendees. Non-member $7.00/ Member $5.00

Ladies Social- Enjoy an afternoon of tea, coffee, deserts and conversation!  This event will take place monthly at 3:00pm in the Active Living Lounge. This month it will be held on Tuesday November 19th. Please add your name to the sign-up list in the Active Living Lounge so we can ensure we have enough food prepared for all attendees. Non-member $5.00/ Member $3.00

Big Band- Join us for a night of great music with a Big Band sound! This event is free to all, with $5 tapas available and bar service also available for purchase. The concert is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:30 pm-9:30 pm in the Accursi Room. This month it is taking place on Tuesday November 19th. Dancing is encouraged! No registration required. The Active Living Lounge will be closed during this time.

SAY IT!- The “Seniors and Youth Intergenerational Theatre” meets every Thursday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Accursi room developing their upcoming community theatre performance. All guests are welcome!

Sunday, November 3, 2019- A light lunch to follow at Legion Branch 141 Hwy 20 E Fonthill. Where and when: Centennial Park. Fenwick 8:30 a.m. , Ridgeville Cenotaph 9:30 a.m., Holy Trinity Anglican Church Fonthill 10:30 a.m., Peace Park  Fonthill  12:30 p.m.     

Monday, November 11, 2019- Lunch to follow at Legion Branch 141 Hwy.20 E. Fonthill. Where and when: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 613 Fonthill   Veterans Park 10:45 a.m..

Improv Festival- The Meridian Community Centre in partnership with Cabar Eh Youth Theatre will be hosting the Niagara Improv Festival on November 16th. Family tickets are $20 (2 adults & 2 children under 18), Individual tickets are $7Member tickets are $5.25, and children under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the customer service desk or online. 

Comedy Night- Enjoy a night of laughs at Comedy Night at the Meridian Community Centre! This show begins at 8:00pm, with food and bar services available. Tickets are $20 or you ca reserve a table of 8 for $125. Tickets must be purchased in advance online or by calling 289-668-3425. The Active Living Lounge will be closed during this time.

Community Forum- We welcome Brock Godfrey to the Meridian Community Centre on November 27th to educate about scams. The first session on Mass Marketing fraud, identity theft, romance, etc., will take place from 10:30 – 11:30 with the second session on cyber security continuing after lunch from 1:00-2:00pm.This event is free to all attendees with lunch available for $3. My Painted House Christmas Workshop- Join us for a tray making working on Thursday November 28th 6-9pm in the Kinsmen Room at the Meridian Community Centre Kinsmen. The cost is $45 per person, and you will be creating 12x20 inch trays with metal handles. A variety of stencil options and colour choices will be provided.
