Pelham Art Festival 2014 featured in TVCogeco Video Report

The Pelham Art Festival will be hosting its Annual Spring Media Day Tuesday, April 21st 10:00 am - 1:00pm in the Festival Room at the Pelham Library.

Take a quick look at the TVCogeco Niagara video coverage of last year's Media Day.

Now beginning it's 29th year, the Pelham Art Festival is a jury showcase featuring contemporary fine art that takes place here in our Pelham community every Mother's Day weekend.

As the Premiere Spring Art Exhibition in Southern Ontario, the Pelham Art Festival offers a large indoor show with a Friday Opening Night that includes a wine garden and refreshments catered by École secondaire Confédération Culinary Arts Students, live musical entertainment all weekend long and a delicious menu of food at our Salvador Deli catered by chef Ray Haymes from Churchill Natural Meats, Rachael Haymes from Nature’s Corner Bakery & Café, and Toffolo Catering.

Over 70 artists, artisans, and photographers from Ontario, Quebec and the United States participate, and an estimated 3000 visitors attend the exhibition every year. Side by side, established artists and undiscovered talents sell their artwork directly to the public and make lasting connections with patrons and collectors.

The Pelham Art Festival is an organization supported by a group of volunteers active in the art and local community with a strong history of volunteerism. The exhibition is financed through registration fees, and by government, corporate, and individual sponsors, enabling the Pelham Art Festival to charge one of the lowest registration fees that includes artists' small percentage sale fees in Ontario. Proceeds benefit Fonthill and Fenwick Maple Acre libraries. Over $375,000 has been donated to the Pelham Library System and Community Arts Programs.

The annual Pelham Art Festival will be held on Mother's Day weekend, May 8, 9, 10 in 2015.
