Meridian Community Centre spaces now available for renting
With substantial completion less than two months away, bookings for renting space in the new Meridian Community Centre are now being accepted.
Enquiries about renting spaces in the 143,120 square foot facility has been ongoing, dating back to mid-2017.
Booking space in the community centre follows the same workflow as all other Town-owned facility rentals: logging on to www.pelham.ca/facilityrental and following the step by step instructions or by calling Call 905-892-2607 ext. 360.
“We are excited to launch our online facility rental portal for the new Meridian Community Centre,” said Kim Holland, manager of facilities and beautification. “We have a variety of spaces available to meet the needs of our community: a catered wedding venue, meeting rooms with state of the art audio and video equipment, ice pads, gymnasiums, and more. We look forward to seeing the community in the facility very soon.”
Spaces available in the new community centre include: two arenas, two gymnasiums, two multipurpose rooms (options for dividing rooms is also available), one special function room, the upper arena lobby, the atrium lobby, and an outdoor plaza area coming online at a later date.
Both ice surfaces are NHL size and rentals may include hockey nets, an audio system, and access to dressing rooms.
The gyms are standard full size courts with a dividing wall and two dividing curtains to create smaller courts for various activities such as basketball, pickleball, badminton, or volleyball.
The larger multipurpose room is 3,708 square feet, the smaller room is 1,330 square feet. The rooms have options to be set up in theatre, dinner, or banquet style, with capacity varying based on set up.
