Meet our SLIDERFEST 2018 Chefs: Chef J. Mark Hand C.C.C. of The Righteous Monger

Chef Mark is a Certified Chef de Cuisine - Canada’s highest accreditation for Chefs. He has been deeply entrenched in the Niagara culinary community for many years including being among the first graduates of the Niagara Culinary Institute.

His career highlights include opening many renowned Niagara establishments such as On The Twenty (Canada’s first winery restaurant), AG and The Deck at Creekside by J Mark. He was the Executive Chef for 10 years at the Niagara Culinary Institute at Niagara College. He has travelled to teach, talk and compete all over the world including Tokyo, San Francisco and New Orleans.

His most recent culinary adventure is becoming ''The Righteous Monger' delectably creating the fine fare now available at the recently expanded Kame and Kettle Beer Works right here in Downtown Fonthill.

We can't wait to see what flavour explosion Chef Mark has planned for us at SLIDERFEST 2018!

Here's a look at last year's menu to give you an appreciation of the taste experience that you can look forward to as our 5 awesome LOCAL CHEFS go head to head and bun to bun.

Five local restaurant Chefs from Churchhill Natural Meats, Iggy's Pub & Grub, FORE Restaurant at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club, The Righteous Monger, Root & Bone (new restauranteur opening soon in former location of Zest Kitchen) will be showcased as the Fonthill Lions once again host their highly popular outdoor fundraising party at G. L. Klager Park.

Come join us and relax to the soulful sounds of live Blues in the park while you savour the tastes created by our featured Chefs.

Sliderfest Tickets are available from any Fonthill Lions Member and will be available for sale every Thursday at our Pelham Suppermarket booth or email and we’ll make arrangements to deliver tickets to you.
