The Mad Bastard Scooter Rally Visits The Lazy Loon in Fonthill

Roughly 80 scooters came through Pelham on Sat June 20th as part of The Mad Bastard Scooter Rally - a 500km loop that started at 4:30am in Guelph. Earlier this year organizers made arrangements with the Lazy Loon Restaurant to be their designated mandatory lunch stop on their route.

According to Leah Parker, General Manager at The Lazy Loon, "The earliest riders arrived just before Noon and the last ones we saw closer to 5pm. The majority of them came between 1 and 2. Most of them were dressed in costumes which was pretty fun. We saw Minions, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, a trio of Animals form the Muppets, Three Amigos, Colonol Sanders and even Santa stopped in. It really was a great group of people out for a fun day
I believe they were raising money this year for Guelph Big Brothers/Big Sisters as Guelph was there Start/End location. Chatting with the fellow who organizes it, they like to support smaller local charities. Here is the link to their website with lots more info about it."
