The Hope Centre - Strengthening the Community Since 1974

We're super excited to share this first edition of the NEW! Hope Centre 'YOUR NEWSLETTER'....and also extend a BIG #myWelland welcome to Carolyn Fast, new Community Development Coordinator for the Hope Centre. We look forward to working with you to help shine the spotlight on the work of the Hope Centre in our local community.


Good News
​The Hope Centre recently purchased 570 King Street. This additional space will enable the Hope Centre to expand its existing services as well as offer transitional housing units to families and individuals.


A big "way to go" to Carolyn Fast, recipient of the Mary Anne Christoff Community Service award. Also congratulations go out to Mary Dolan who was recognized by the Retired At Home 60 Over 60 group for her exemplary volunteer service to children and youth. Well done ladies!

This month we said "goodbye" to Dominic and Alysha. Thank you for your hard work and best of luck as you move on to new opportunities. We also said "hello" to Carolyn as the new Community Development Coordinator and Melaina as a guest support worker. Welcome to the team!


Congratulations to the graduates of the volunteer training program for completing their safe food, WHMIS, Smart Serve, First Aid/CPR and customer service training. The next training session will begin January 2015.
