Fonthill Bandshell Announces 2015 Season!

Local favourites and Canadian legends will mix with the best of the past nine seasons for the 10th anniversary of the Fonthill Bandshell Summer Concert Series.

The 2015 lineup features 12 great performances between June 18 and Sept. 3, from award-winning entertainers and musicians hailing from Niagara and many other Canadian locales. Many of these top entertainers are back by the Bandshell patrons’ friendly ‘demand,’ because of their amazing performances sometime during our first nine seasons, while others are new to the Peace Park venue.

The series opens June 18 with Pelham’s favourite musical sons, The Mostly Gormans, and continues each Thursday night with tribute acts for a variety of genres and eras of music. New to the Bandshell stage this year are the Black Umfolosi 5, a high-energy, world famous a cappella and dance group from Zimbabwe, as well as Jarvis Church, a Canadian rhythm and blues singer-songwriter whose collaborations have earned him Juno awards and Grammy nominations.

Each Thursday night concert begins at 7 p.m. Free parking is available in several locations, from a few steps to just a few minutes’ walk to the park. Visit the website anytime for parking locations and detailed program information: www.fonthillbandshell.com.

Patrons can help support the annual series by purchasing a Bandshell Button. For a donation of $100 or more, the button wearer, and immediate family, may attend all the concerts without having to worry about putting a weekly donation into the bucket to offset costs. Buttons are currently available from Star Tile Carpet One on Highway 20 in Fonthill, and they will be available at upcoming events such as the Pelham Home Show and the Pelham Farmers Market.
