Municipalities will need to opt in or opt out of allowing retail cannabis stores to operate in their towns/cities by January 22, 2019. The Town of Pelham is seeking resident feedback on this topic. Please review the following information and take the survey below to share your thoughts. The legal sale of recreational cannabis is highly regulated. Only legal cannabis that is produced by licenced producers (also highly regulated) can be sold in private cannabis retail stores and only to people 19 years of age and older. This means that access to the youth will be controlled and the product that will be available will be legally produced, will not be altered or cut with other substances so that it will be safer and will be appropriately labelled with regards to its THC potency so that people will know what they are buying and will be able to use it safer.

As 2018 draws to a close we reflect back upon a year that saw the return to a more 'normal' real estate market.

We are encouraged that although the number of sales declined this year the massive spike in our average selling prices is holding well in all communities of Niagara. With the number of new listings on the rise we will be monitoring market prices very closely during the coming months and you can count on us to keep you informed.

Where there was once a dilapidated parking lot of the former Atlas hotel, there now stands five beautiful homes. Three of the five families celebrated their Home Dedication ceremony today and received the keys to their new homes, just in time for the holiday season. The fourth family will get their keys in the New Year as they finish completing their 500 volunteer hours with Habitat Niagara, one of the requirements the organization has before handing the keys over to the qualified home buyers.
