The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) is governed by a Board of Directors appointed from participating municipalities (Region of Niagara, City of Hamilton and Haldimand County).

As stated in the NPCA 2014-2017 Strategic Plan, within the parameter of “Transparent Governance & Enhanced Accountability,” the NPCA will “Expand public participation to support NPCA governance via the establishment of an Advisory Committee (conservation, agriculture, landowners, development, industry, volunteer sectors).

By creating a directory of local environmental organizations and initiatives, we hope to better connect these organizations with each other and with the community they serve.

In time, we envision this site as an information hub where groups can be mapped, initiatives can be promoted, events can be listed, and collaborative ventures can begin.

Now in its 3rd year SLIDERFEST, presented by PenFinancial Credit Union, is the Fonthill Lions Club’s largest fundraiser.  The Fonthill Lions are celebrating 75 years of community service.
